During a basketball tour abroad, is when Kurklin first sparked interest in wine. He began his unique journey of learning the craft of wine making from local artisan wine producers in Manfredonia, Italy. After experiencing a plethora of Italian wines Kurklin quickly realized that this was becoming more then a new interest, it was turning into something that he was passionate about as he found himself enjoying sharing what he learned with family and friends.

What David thought was a normal work day, turned into being the start of a new beginning for him. David attended a conference where a guest speaker shared his story of how he quit his 9-5 job, to start his own wine company. It was in that moment David got the motivation that his dream of becoming a Master Vintners of his own wine company could be more than a dream, it could be a reality.

Upon returning to the United States Kurklin reconnected with his good friend David and while catching up he shared his experiences in Italy with wine, as he normally would with anyone. David added to the conversation what lead him into falling in love with wine making. As Kurklin and David discussed their interest in wine and all the possibilities the conversation quickly shifted to turning their love for wine making, into a way of life.

With dedication and perseverance, Kurklin and David perfected their skills and Mastered the Art of wine making. Many conversations, a lot of research, and their love for educating their family and friends in wine lead to the creation of Ardorr Wine Company, established in 2019.
